I struggled for so long to get my credit up to a satisfactory point. I started out with horrible credit and the only card i qualified for was Orchard bank, credit one, etc. I finally reached a point where my credit score is now considered excellent and can get any card i want (within reason). Now that I have every card I dreamed of having with prime lendors (Amex, Discover, etc.) I dont have anything to look forward too. Its like having a ferrari in the driveway but not being able to take it for a spin to show it off. Its kind of a odd feeling not working towards a certain CC? Should i strive for an 800 and after I hit that, what then?

...then go buy the Ferrari, with 0% apr...![]()

Lol I didn't say I had unlimited money, just good credit. It's something I didn't have until a few years ago. I always dreamed of having certain CC's. Now I have them and the thrill is gone
well there is always a chance some new credit card comes up (e.g Amex everyday) that you will like and/or have a great signup bonus so the thrill will comback...LOL
This is what happens when you achieve the top goals in your category and can't increase your goals. What's the alternative?
I'm close to this myself. I'm apping for a CSP in a cpl months and another Amex for backdating reasons, then nothing.... I'll have a card to use for all of my spending so no need for any additional cards. Don't know what I'm going to do with myself!
I can definitely relate, although every time I use one of the cards that I received after years of rebuilding I do still get quite a bit of satisfaction.

Buy a home with the lowest possible interest rate and increase overall personal wealth over the long term?
Not quite the same story, but after rebounding from mistakes and being able to dictate your own next moves it is a little depressing. Get over it though and be happy! Think about what you want next (mortgage, new car, saving for education/retirement, etc) and start building that plan. Use what you learned here and the new plan should be easier.
I am gardening now so that I can get to the point where I can say that I have ALL the cards that I want. Go ahead and shoot for the 800!!! ![]()
