I get them for both of my Barclays cards. Keep in mind that the checks usually have an expiration date, so I'm not sure if your plan to hold on to them will work.

no i know they expired. i always keep 2 at a time and throw them in the trash as they come in based on the expiration dates. i never used them in 4 years i had barclay but i think its convenient to have and will maybe someday save me from opeing a new account if i ever want to do a balance transfer. Usually durring the holidays i am shoping for a new card but as soon barclay increases my limit maybe i be able to make some use of it, I'm usualy over seas during the winter and summer months so 2% no foreign transaction fee and no annnial fees for the forst year beats capital one and discover (unless you're getting your 2x cash back for the first year).  I was thinking going for Chase Sapphire which also has no anual fee fpr the first year which i could gt after my 1 year no annual fee is up pn Arrival + before downgradin it to the no annual fee Arrival card. I do use Chase Freedom over seas in places like starbucks and H&M and to my surprose i did get 5% over seas in such catergories which still the same as earnig 2% cash back with Freedom's foreign transtion fees than using citi 2% - 3% foreign transaction fee makes no since, (1%) so i use 1.5% capital one abroad if i dont think ill get 2% on any of the 5% catergories,
