I'm wondering how Pepper Rewards codes for various cash back cards.
- Several people asked on DoC whether it codes as online for the Shop Your Way/Citi Thank You offers (they code stuff weird sometimes!).
- I'm not sure what this merchant is, but Pepper is an app run by Moocho which I think is located in Miami, and AwardWallet sees it coding as electronics store on some cards? https://awardwallet.com/merchants/APP+MOOCHO+WALMART+MIAMI+BEACH+FL_538662610
- Then there's one with just "Moocho" that codes as general merchandise https://awardwallet.com/merchants/MOOCHO_64145
- I'm pretty sure that Pepper doesn't take any sort of mobile wallet like Google Pay/Apple Pay or any PayPal/Venmo-type service either.
So it would be interesting to know whether Pepper Rewards works (in practice) to get a high rewards rate on the following cards (maybe I'm missing some):
- BofA CCR;
- Citi Thank You/SYW;
- US Bank Cash+;
- probably some others I haven't thought of.
And for those of you who can figure out the MCC code of an in-app Pepper Rewards purchase, I'd be interested in hearing about that too.
I hope to get a CCR late this year; if so, I'll test and let you know.
