Re: Eyeing USALLIANCE 3% VS

The last go-round I called and they did everything over the phone including membership.

I did have to send almost all the same items as AOD.

Wonder if that has changed or they are more locked down like AOD.

250k+ CL and climbing.

Because I've seen no approvals for this card since it's comeback my fingers are not that itchy. I think once AOD closes its door ppl will go for this one.

Re: Eyeing USALLIANCE 3% VS

If AOD and US Alliance can both make 3% cards work, I wonder if USAA will reopen its 3% card.  If the 3% cards are loss leaders to bring in members, then they won't last.  But if they do better than just break even, they might raise the bar for the whole cash back credit card world.  I fear that the card is a loss leader that won't last.

USAA limitless wasn't 3%, but 2.5%.

Yet they couldn't make that work.

My curiosity about this one has increased since I got a denial from AOD.

How do they compare? Anything I should know about the app process or underwriting tendencies?

They are conservative and the app for membership/CC can drag. AOD took a week for me to finalize.
