FICO is playing with me and trying to hurt my brain

I'm confused!  I went crazy yesterday and went apping crazy.  My EQ. was dinged 6 times yesterday!!  This morning I go to look at the damage and find that my score went up 31 points!!!!!!!!!!!!!  NOTHING ELSE CHANGED ON MY REPORT!! REPEAT:  NOTHING ELSE CHANGED!!  It is FICO messing with my brain, I know it is! I thought I was starting to understand them and then BAM, they showed me who was boss!!

Let me get this straight, you went on an apping binge and you were rewards with 31 points?
Wow.

That is awkward. Usually your score won't update the day after an incident. Maybe it was just a coincidence that it updated the day after you went apping. Were you approved for anything? That maybe be why if you got new credit and didn't have many cards before.

Even if he was approved he wouldn't get credit for the new accounts until they started reporting and typically (not always) that results in a slight dip in scores. This is very odd.

Did you go through every account to be sure dates, status, etc. didn't change?

Re: FICO is playing with me and trying to hurt my brain

The last SW Alert was on 7-26-08 prior to my binge.  So, that leaves only 4 days between alerts.  No new accounts have been added.  I know it's weird, and I don't understand it.  My util. nothing changed.  These were the first Hard Pulls I have had since 11-07, maybe that was enough that they figured that I was still alive!?  I don't know.

UPUPUP, yes I did, I had know other changes!  If there is a chance that something is going to be weird with credit and FICO, it will happen to me.  I will keep investigating to see if I'm missing something, but I don't see it.

I was thinking the same thing. My most recent 30 day late was July 06. Today it officially turned 2 years old, so I finally paid for all 3 scores today. Aging plays a big role in scoring. The only report showing this particular late happens to claim it is 2 years and 1 month old, but I couldn't be sure and didn't want to spend the money last month on a chance.

Aging is the only thing that I could think of as well.

I have had some weird things happen to me too, but none on the positive side. I say we sit back quietly and let it be. Shhhh!!!
