FINALLY Discover Hit and a Miss! Boo....

For Kicks I log into my Discover account and find that they have now allowed me to request a CLI! I have had this card since May 12, 2012 and it seemed like forever that every time I clicked on the "Request a CLI" it had "we are sorry we cannot process Blah Blah Blah 1800 Discover!"

I tried it out and declined! WHat?? Then why did you take almost 3 years to finally give me the button LOL. I started at a CL of 1000 and I still have the 1000 CL. BOo.

Pay in full. Sometimes carry a balance. used the card during thanksgiving and xmas and i have a 700 balance. I make multiple 100 payments a month

I been getting the exact same bullcrap from that bunch for nearly 18 months. Talk about a chincey tight bunch. Never mind conservative they are tightwads in the umpteenth degree IMHO. Sorry to say i have to let them go here in the next few weeks because their teenie 1400 line for 18 months sticks out like a sour apple. And like Crap1's even more enemic 600 line, Discover just doesn't cut it anymore. Let them keep on following their own plan but some of us have progressive goals, and parking low limit cards who proport to be prime but stall out early and refuse to budge even a little, clearly is not a progressive competitive lender for many.

I'm with yall. Been stuck at SL of $4300 since May 2014 I believe. PIF until Xmas, I didn't care much and now I'm carrying a balance, Huge balance lol. Doesn't seem like they were gonna give me a CLI for a while anyways.. I'm happy with my other ones..

they are definitely tight with their money. I believe it's because they are their own bank, and when they first came out, they took a big load of credit default because they were offering it to anyone who applied. They've learned their lesson but they've tightened up as a result. Take it as a big blessing that you can qualify for a card. They'll do you right soon enough.
