FNBO Card Conversion

I have had the Platinum Visa for almost 9yrs now. Have you guys/gals had any luck getting cards converted there? I am curious if they would convert me to the Evergreen card with a simple request...thoughts?

Re: FNBO Card Conversion

You should app for a new account and get the Evergreen card which has a nice SUB instead of PC.

Re: FNBO Card Conversion

If you want to convert your card instead of applying fresh, there's a reasonable chance you can PC to an Evergreen. Historically FNBO hasn't allowed conversions, but in the past few months the option was added for some non-cobranded FNBO cards. You'll have to call and ask, and not every rep knows where to look since it hasn't been available before. Likewise, since it's new there aren't a ton of DPs for which cards can be converted to/from.

Old-ish DP: I had to call twice in the spring to get my Rewards Visa (originally a Travelite) converted into an Evergreen. Think I did it through underwriting (or whoever handles CLI requests in the phone tree). Bit more info sprinkled here.

Re: FNBO Card Conversion

I was able to PC a 1.5% visa to the 2% evergreen a few months back, the card was not tied to a merchant. You can try by giving them a call on the phone and asking them to do it. It has to goto underwriting and it took a few days before I knew it was converted on over.
