With Orchard ($320) and Cap 1 ($500) - both of which were obtained in January showing January statements,
What would you get next?
I believe my score after Tuesday the 24th, my scores will be mid 600s (I just was informed of util across cards does not equate to util within each card itself so now, my cards will be $0, $0, $13) and my util about 3% total.
I have also asked for PFD from Global Payments for items included in my BK but have not heard squat yet. Had hoped, per the simulator, that getting those off will help (they were included in BK but are hurting me as they still show collections).
So, if I were to wait until hopefully Global gets their junk off, and a couple of things age I could conceivably be sitting upper 600s,
What card then to replace FP? (Which I'm dumping before AF.)
It sounds like your plan to ditch FP is a good one.
It it were me I would wait until those other accounts are a year old. During that time I would research as much as I can about CC's and find those that will grow with you. But I'm very conservative in my approach to credit. Only you can decide when to next apply.
From a BK years ago to:
EX - 3/11 pulled by lender- 835, EQ - 2/11-816, TU - 2/11-782
"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem".
Discover would be good to get next. They approve in the mid 600's and are a reputable company.
ROTFL over your thread title!!!!
Yea I cant say FP has done me wrong at all, but would love to chuck this card before the 13th month

I don't believe Discover overlooks a BK in year 2
If that assumption is incorrect, I'd love to hear about it!!

IMO - which I'm more than happy to give but only since you asked
You've done a nice job replacing FP with your Orchard and Cap One.
As MVV wisely counseled, let those two babies age. Three in diapers is more than anyone needs.
Next January will be a great time to look at possibly adding another. And as long as that BK is on your reports your options for long-term CC's is limited. So go easy on adding cards that you'll also be giving the heave-ho to at a young age.
Let these two grow, handle them extremely well, and they'll serve you well for quite a while.
And remember that FICO is happy with these two cards. They're both bank cards and the CL is immaterial FICO-wise.
Adding another new card, however, will likely cost you FICO points.
And now a question, are you planning on PIF'ing these two shiny new cards?
And letting only one report a balance - a balance less than 9% of the CL?
If so - you're doing a good job keeping the FICO gods happy. A new card will not cheer them up in any way.
