Farewell CreditOne

[Espresso]

I have 7 statements with my CreditOne Platinum Visa account. Started at $400. I have never been late, have used the card every month, and have had no balance for last 3 months.

I call for a CLI (wanting to go from $400 to $1500) and they said they cannot approve a CLI for my account. I tell the nice Indian man that I would like to close my account if I cannot get a CLI. He transfers me. Nice Indian woman tells me she will decrease my $75 annual fee to $25 if I keep the account open. I decline. She tells me the account is closed.

FREEEEEDOM!

Glad the CreditOne nightmare is over.

awesome!!!  Id be checking my reports to make sure they dont do some funny business wiht your acct.  There have been posts of them getting sneaky, so make sure its closed, and youre not charged the fee.  Snap shot anything regarding your acct for your records too.  Congrats on getting rid of them!!

Thanks for the heads up. That advice goes to prove my point. CreditOne is a disaster. Get ANY secured card over them.

Listen to Pizzas advice, credit one and other predators have been known to do odd things like keeping open a closed account and hitting you with fees or worse. Congrats on getting rid of that cap one knockoff

Good riddance! It brights up my day whenever I see a myfico member getting rid of Credit One or First Premier.
