Two weeks ago I noticed that I was given a $750 cli which I thought was strange because I never use it. Today I get a letter stating that only a few special customers get this offer and it is a limited time offer. Here is the kicker. I can make the increase permanent, up to the $750 increase should I use it by December 31. So basically, the more I spend, the more I can keep..lol. I just thought it was funny...a limited time offer to secure a permanent CLI.!!!!
best buy sent me an email saying i was one of there top customers and should be treated special.
but when i asked for a cli from 2500 they straight out denied me.
but anyways congrats on your cli.

I actually checked out fingerhut when I first started coming here and was quite interested, and then I saw all their prices...
You need constant CLIs if they expect you to buy anything from them, so overpriced
I applied for a fingerhut CL back in the day. I'm pretty sure there was no HP at all. Took a look around their website and never ever use it.
Maybe there getting desprite.

I have spent a whopping 45 bucks over the last year with them and that was only because of the free shipping. There is no way they are getting over $700 from me to make it permanent!!
Seems like it might be a good way for people to start to rebuild. But beyond that, there doesn't seem to be a lot of value to having an acct w/them.
Try Gettington.com. Its the exact same products at a lower price, considerably lower in most instances. The account is backed by Webbank who also recently took over the Fingerhut Credit accounts. Better prices, interest rates and CL. They don't do the temporary CLI offers like Fingerhut.

Naaa, only reason I keep fingerhut is it is my longest revolving credit line. I just use it a couple times a year for the Retinol face cream. Stuff works great as a hand moisturizer!!

Oh I agree. They were the first to extend me credit when I was re-establishing my credit. I don't have the heart to close it so I use it every now and then. Every so often you can find a great deal but the shipping is crazy nuts so I wait for free shipping. They have some double pack of twin sheet sets (pack of two sets) marked down to $9.99. Looks like a good deal but then they want to charge $10 for shipping on one item,$16 on two, etc.

There are literally a few dozen sites that provide the same line of credit, all though webbank.
Sites like
newegg
tigerdirect
macmall
Jewelry Television
comp usa
1800 flowers
list goes on and on.
and I'm pretty sure they're a soft pull to apply.
