First Premier over limit.

I have an awful First Premier Gold Card that just hit me with the annual rate and put me over the limit. How bad is this going to hurt my score?

Pay it down a bit. Do it right now, may not report the whole thing.

I paid it down the day I found out I was over my limit. They have already reported. How bad will this hurt my score?

Re: First Premier over limit.

depends on your other TL. If the CL of your other cards are few times bigger than premier, then it would just be a hiccup ( short term ).

Having even one over-the-limit CC reporting will tank your scores. My guess would be a drop of more than 50 points but I can't say for sure. Over-the-limit is worse than maxed-out!

Re: First Premier over limit.

I think it be ok , I remember when I have First Premier Cl $250 on 1/2007 I charged $257 then end of Month I paid in full ( and  I alway PIF ). Now I don't like the fee and low CL , I want to close it . May I Close it ?
Thank you

Do you think a GW would work? Will this over limit thing go away next time they report since I paid it off?

dangphuocloc72  how did the over limit report on your CR and how did it effect your score? Did it go away the next time they reported?

Re: First Premier over limit.

As soon as your card hit above 90% it was already considered 'maxed out'.  So the otl status probably didn't hurt you much more.  The thing is to get it paid down to about 70 dollars or less.  Get it under 125 and you will also see improvement. Get it to report 20.00 in one billing cycle and it will probably be a huge jump.

Re: First Premier over limit.

It report : CL 250 >>> high balance 257 . PIF 257 . don't worry it not hurt your score as long as you PIF everymonth you used CC . just make sure don't be late . my Score 2/2007 EX 525 EQ 515 TU 528 from 2/2007 to now it go up and down ( max TU 692 , EQ 662 , EX 681 now go down , because I apply too many CC and open auto loan 18000 . I just refinance my 2001 BMW . RATE 18 % TO 14.45 % ) Inq EQ 33 , EX 16 , TU 7 . still have 180 day late , 1 charge off on TU and EX . EQ 1 record pullic , (1 collection try to dispute )
now EQ 623 , EX 670 , TU 654 .
