First Tech FCU credit card PIN-priority may be changing

At the latest First Tech FCU annual meeting (which can be viewed here), the CEO announced (at the 18:01 mark) that in the "not too distant future", credit cards will be enhanced with tap and pay, with changes on PIN requirements to go more mainstream within the United States. Could this mean PIN-priority may be changing? Hopefully PIN-priority can still be used internationally and this change only impacts usage within the United States.

Re: First Tech FCU credit card PIN-priority may be changing

There were never many PIN priority cards in the US in the first place and most of those have already transitioned out.  AFAIK the only other issuers that still offer them are UNFCU and (maybe) SDFCU.

RBFCU is another

recently, it auto sent out new card with new looks, new number and as well as contact less feature. However, nothing mention about pin priority changing.
