Anyone have the FordPass Rewards VISA card? I just received a promotional mailing from them today. The card is issued by FNBO and offers the following promotional terms:
I have two Fords and like to pay for service on them with FordPass Rewards points at the dealerships. Other than that, however, this card doesn't seem particularly competitive. And I've heard FNBO can be very sensitive to recent inquiries on an applicant's record.
What do you think?
F-150 Lightning ⚡⚡⚡ is Awesome. Might have to give this one a look-see.
I have a new Ford on order and I plan to apply for this card. If you own a Ford this is a no brainer. There is also a $200 statement credit each year for $6000 spend. This works out to 5% back the frst year and 3.3% each year therafter (assuming $6000 spend) and that doesn't include all the Fordpass points.
3% on gas and auto insurance (and a few other things) seems like a somewhat unusual, somewhat interesting combination. Probably not interesting enough for most of us to really want it, but it beats that card I saw a bunch of people applying for that gives 0.5% back on everything, or 1% back if you do enough transactions per month ... and it has an annual fee ...
I have had this card for a little over a year and the points really add up on servicing and repairs, we have 3 fords and one is in the garage every other week.
We just paid ESP with points from this card.
I have it, and love it!
As stated, the best part about this card is that it gets a $200 STATEMENT CREDIT every year after $6000 in spend. So that in itself is a 3.33% cashback card (if you spend exactly $6000).
You also get the other points in FordPass Points. I've paid a lot towards service on my Ford by just using the points. Tomorrow's "The Works" will be free plus some left over after using my built up points from paying my auto insurance recently.
I've recently hit my $6000 spend and within a week or two was given my $200 statement credit. So the credit is handed out whenever you hit that threshold, not just at your annual date.
Recently, they had an offer to spend a certain amount (I think it was $1000) by a certain timeframe and get an extra $50 statement credit. Timing was right for me, as I paid my insurance during this period and met that offer's limit with other spend at restaurants.
CLI's follow the FNBO CLI procedures. I got my 1st CLI after about 7 months with the card. I'm due for another CLI now, just haven't made the call yet.
Highly recommend it if you have a Ford!

Yes I have a reservation for the upcoming 2022 Lightning EV truck and received the email to sign up the Ford FNBO card but the 3 choices on the face of the card is not appealing (Bronco, blue or black).
If they offer a F150L image, I would be all over that!

Now, let's get back to the FordPass Rewards discussion. In case things need to be clarified, this particular card has no AF. Also, this thread is not about the Aspiration ZERO credit card (there's a separate topic on that already).
Thank you.
