Free UPS overnight Amex BCE replacement

I was leaving a local tanning salon recently, when I realized that the cashier guy scratched up my BCE right thru the middle of the blue reflective part. So I went online to request a replacement card and Amex overnighted me one for FREE!!!! That's like a $30 value right there! Overnighting is EXPENSIVE!
Thanks for the 3xcli, $100 cash back, and free overnighting Amex!!!!!

Do you plan to ask for a replacement card every time it's scratched?

Maybe this way it's better not to use it at all?

Most companies will do this for customers. Citi overnighted two cards that I just got approved for without me even asking. Also, they do not pay anywhere near what normal rates are. It probably only costs five or ten dollars.

I'm not sure I agree with this practice. The cost of that is always passed to us, the customer.

5/2012: 560 credit scores across the board
