Freedom Ultimate ... ooooohhh

So i decided to apply for the freedom unlimited card to add to my chase collection (sapphire preferred, freedom) for a UR trio reward system, but got the "thanks for applying, your application is being reviewed". Its probably due to the 5/24 rule but according to creditkarma, my discount tire store card should be out of the 5/24 rule this month.

Has anyone had any luck with the recon number to bypass the 5/24 rule? ... if indeed it was the reason why i didnt get it.

I would just wait it out and see what their decision is before jumping the gun and trying to recon or anything like that. That doesn't automatically mean denial I think.

I know it's different type of card but got something like that on my ink plus and just waited it out and was approved.

From expierence, its always been a denial for me. I was pre-approved for the slate card but im assuming that preapproval page is only for the sapphire, freedom and slate.... and i have 2 of them already.

Ill probably call and check the status of my application in a few days.
