From Regular Visa to Signature Visa (Chase Amazon card)

Today I got a letter about my Amazon card with chase being upgraded to Signature Visa.

So I ask is it really much of a big deal? Has anyone used any of the services attached to that type of card?

Re: From Regular Visa to Signature Visa (Chase Amazon card)

With the literature explaining the upgrade I am sure you recieved a list of the benefits of Visa Signature. Short answer: no, most people don't use the benefits. It's for show most of the time.

There are a few benefits that can be useful under certain limited circumstances but not really on an everyday basis.

I agree, I have a lot of visa signatures and I think it just looks nicer as Visa Signature than plain ole Visa. Congrats!!! id love to get a letter like that from chase on a acouple of my cards!

As long as you've had the card for a year or more and the limit is 5k+, you can call and request an upgrade I believe.

Thanks for the info.  As far as Chase, they've been very generous with CLI.  I don't ask for them, they just give them to me. According to the letter, they upgraded me October 16, but I won't get a new card until next year.   I use the card a lot, plus use it while abroad, so maybe thats why they did it.

My partner has a world mastercard.  are they similar / same in terms of benefits are something different?

VISA siggy = flexible spending account, which allows you to charge more than your limit. It's a nice feature to have in case you need it along with what OP have stated. Just a little more perks.

Re: From Regular Visa to Signature Visa (Chase Amazon card)

The acct is 2014 so not terribly old.  .  Starting limit was 2500.  its now 9K.  I just tend to use it and pay it off a lot.  I know some said they don't like Chase but I've had nothing but good things from them. And I allow them to make money off me.  I don't always PIF; sometimes I leave a little on there even though I don't like how high the rate is, but I figure they have to make some money sometimes. I've never asked them for CLI, they give me what they give me.

the card that I never seem to ever get CLI with is my cap one card thats even when I ask.  Considering closing it because I don't really use it for anything (I closed my first card with them for the same reason...it had a 900 dollar limit!)
