I called Discover after 6 months to ask for a little luv.
My wife is on the card too (co-owner). She's in the 720-750 across the board, and I'm in early 700.
Combined income is $170K. We have AMEX, Freedom, and other prime cards. But Discover denied us. Asked to talk to Supervisor. Declined. He said he need a HP from both of us. I said look we have cards in 10K. Even Cap1 gave us 3K-5K. You (Discover) are the lowest CC we have. And we have put in more than 10 grand in the last 6 months. Always PIF and paid MULTIPLE TIMES a month. He said NO. We need HP from both of you. I tried the luv button and it said call Discover.
Question: Is there any else we can do rather than waiting for Auto CLI from the. We both don't want HP.
Thanks

Unfortunately, you're gonna have to take the pulls to get the CLI or just wait for an auto. I will say it could be worth the hard pulls though. I believe you can go high and they will counter if they can't grant your request.
I chose the route of waiting and within 45 days after me calling they gave me an auto CLI.
I've come to the conclusion that cc companies are truly fickle. I've been with Chase for over 4yrs, and they wouldn't give me a new card, Discover instantly gave me a pretty big starting CL. Go figure. Since you have some good cards with nice limits, I would suggest waiting for an auto CLI.

Have they SPd you at all? What's your overall util?
They SP (not sure me or both me and the wife) in March, they said.
My Util is 5% (mostly on the Spark Cap1 because it's the biz card), and hers is 2%.
I had a little tough time in 2010 with a few CO but I paid them all. Looks like they dinged me for a CO in 2010. Huhm!!!!!!!!
By the way I did a little research on this forum, and applied Mr Smush's theory which to do cash back redemption to statement credit ($100 credit on a $9 balance). I'll see if that triggers Discover somehow. If it does I'll post it here.

Good luck, hope that works. Are your CS s in your siggy current?
Thanks. YES my siggy are current.
Not sure if this helps, but when attempting to do a CLI request online and all you get is that message where it tells you to call...just call and go through the prompts to request a CLI using their phone system. You don't have to talk to anyone live, its the phone system that asks for your info and attempts to process a CLI. Even though I got denied recently, it was just a soft pull from Discover. Maybe try that so you don't have to risk a hard pull and maybe get a CLI?
