GECRB CareCredit is NUTTTTTS...

I'm horrible at staying in the garden (and will probably pay dearly for it at some point)...applied for GE CareCredit couple hours ago on a whim. Just decided to say "what the hell" and do it.

I asked for $5,000 and got an INSTANT APPROVAL for $3,500 (OMG whoo-HOO!!!).

I fully expected to be declined on the spot. But they approved me?!? **bleep**? Haahahaha!

They must be certifiable. They must be nuts!!!

Unfortunately, I think I ran out of room in my signature so I can't add the new tradeline :-(

BUT QUESTION ABOUT THIS CREDIT LINE:

1. I hear I can use this card at like the vet for my cat or whatever. But can I use the card for somebody else?? Example: I go with wife to dentist cause she needs something done, can I pay for it with my card? I.E., charge somebody elses dental work (or lasik or whatever) on my CareCredit account???

I'm still shaking my head. GE is nuts, seriously. But I'll TAKE IT!

On a sidenote:

Just read this article that GE is selling its CareCredit unit:

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-06-28/ge-said-to-hire-goldman-sachs-for-sale-of-carecredit-unit.h...

Wonder who's gonna buy it and if that will doom this budding flower of credit I've just stupidly came into???

Re: GECRB CareCredit is NUTTTTTS...

So you're saying that I can take this card, go to my vet (if they accept CareCredit) and get my cat spray-painted pink along with a cat tune-up AND go next door to the cosmetic surgery place (if they accept CareCredit) and purchase a pair of DDDDDDD XXXL you-know-whats for my wife?

Cause I don't need any work done on myself so far, but on a serious note, you're confirming that it's perfectly okay to use the CareCredit card for somebody else's dental, medical or whatever work?

I'm Just trying to figure out why you think it's ok for the cat but may not for the wife.

ROFLOL

No you didn't

Dying over here

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: GECRB CareCredit is NUTTTTTS...

Hummm, I'm not sure people are understanding me.

Okay, here's a concrete example:

Wife and I walk into Tommy's Big T Town Comsmetic surgery. They accept CareCredit.

So I go up to the front desk and say I want my wife implanted with DDDD XXXXL cha-chas and I will be paying with MY CareCredit card.

Would that be okay? I don't have to necessarily use the CareCredit card credit for myself only, right? I can pay for anybody's treatment with my card??

That's all I'm asking LOL

Re: GECRB CareCredit is NUTTTTTS...

It's the DDDD XXXXl cha-chas thats blurring your train of thought. CareCredit is just like any other cc- you can use it for whatever and whomever accepts the card.

Shaking my head! X2!
