Lenders care only about you as much as you are a risk to them and how much money you can make them.  If you aren't getting CLIs regardless of your spending patterns, it's because you aren't satisfying them in the aforementioned ways.  Sock-drawering their cards makes absolutely no difference to them.

+1

While the concept of "sock-drawering" does wonders for self gratification, if you really want to get back at Discover, then use *ONLY* the 5% categories, PIF right before the due date, request paper statements and call them once per day to ask random questions.

LOL!

LOL this is funny and true at the same time.

Using only the 5% categories is definitely going to make you unprofitable as a customer for the bank. Doubt they'll do anything to you about that though; they may just be even less willing to extend more credit.

On the sidenote, there's really no point in having a high CL for Discover IT unless you still are within the 0% promo time period or if you happen to visit China a lot. The 5% categories are capped at just 1500, and a lot of places don't accept Discover. Other than that, the only other feature that makes the card worthwhile is ShopDiscover. If it weren't for shopdiscover I probably wouldn't even care about the 5% categories and close the card anyhow.

Edit: Also call everyday to request for a SP CLI. Each denial will result in a paper mail being sent out to you.
