I got my IHG One Rewards Premier MC in mid March. I had to spend $3000 in 90 days for the 160,000 Welcome Bonus (spend by mid June). I put our family's almost-$1000/mo health insurance on it for three months to help meet the offer (at 3x). I was just under $3000 by the end of May so I plopped a $77 tank of gas on it (at 5x) to get over $3000. I met the spend requirement on May 31. It is now June 10. The welcome points are still 'pending'. When will I get the darn points??
It has been a bit since I have been in that specific ecosystem but from what I recall it was tied to statement closing being the trigger.
Interesting to see you dipping your toes in the points world... Sometimes too hard to overlook? Not a criticism as I am now all in on cash back but an interesting note to see.
It will come only been 10 days sine meeting spend. Likely statement. Been quite awhile since I opened my 49 version of card but chase always pays out their bonuses. Patience is key . Won't be as long as they say that is just ot cover their arse.
chase says up to 6-8 weeks after statement close.

Lol. Trust me, it was a long hard internal deliberation before I jumped into 'points' and AF. I spent months researching hotel cards. Other than the large welcome bonus which should give me at least 6 nights, I mostly did it for the annual free night. There are a few other perks like being Platinum Elite status (discounts, special offers, free room upgrades, points or drink/snack at checkin, early checkin, late checkout, etc.) but I'm primarily looking at my $99 AF as getting me a $150+ room per year.
You will get it when statement closes.
Ok here is what normally happens for me, just experienced on my United Club card, the points dont post until the email that says statement is ready even if the statement has been closed for a few days. Statement closed June 7, paid on the 8th, email saying statement ready recieved the 10th and points didnt post to United till the 10th.
Thanks all, responses much appreciated.
yea chase treats them like any other points. iirc amex for example just posts the bonus points to your account as soon as its system recognizes you got the spend.
Well, now I am really confused. Some points moved from Pending to Available but still not the Welcome Bonus 165,000. I would be nervous if I didn't at least see it under Your earnings.
