Wow. I never said and vowed I would never have Crap 1. Maybe cuz their scores were horrible according to JB Powers or whatever that co is they are trying to be nice

I am very happy for you as well.  If I have taken over your post, I apologize. 

A $500.00 increase with Cap1 is great.  You can see how many years it took me to even get an increase on this Visa Account, 17 years!!  You probably did it in less years as a cardholder.   WTG.  Every achievement with Capital One is worth posting!!

I too received the $500 cli in early October, on each of my 2 Cap1 cards. In addition I was told to call them in Nov. to ask for rate decrease. Yipeeeee!

One was 7, the other 6 y.o.

I know this post started almowt 2 weeks ago but I figured might as well try. I too received an extra $500 and I too was told to call back next month to get my APR decreased. They said you can do one or the other (CLI or APR lowered). I chose CLI because I PIF every month.

Here's the thing I have only had the card for 4 months and this was my second increase.

I think they (Cap 1) feel bad about not reporting the CL's for sooo long that they are trying to do nice things and get their name back to Cap 1 and not Crap 1!

jaybee, that was exactly the same offer they made to me. Either cli or rate decrease, but not both at the same time.

IMO if you have ever been late with Crap1 they will NOT give you a CLI.

This is strictly from my own personal experience.

No CLI, ONE late payment from over 3 years ago. Will not give me any GW. Screw them. I'll be using my new AmEx for all my CC purchases

Sorry to rant. No love for Crap1.

I had a 60 lees than a year old when Cap one quadrupled my CL.

Hmm, I wonder if I should take a stab at increasing my CL with them?  My first card is a crap 1 card that has a 1500 CL right now.  By far the lowest of my cards, but I keep it just for it's age (which is only a little over a year).

cap 1 bought some big bank North something and are trying to be legit and not subprime.  giving good car loans and stuff too.
