I got that gem as well. To date, every offer I've gotten in the mail has been garbage from Credit One, First Premier, and then that Verve.
Well, every offer except one. One day a Citi Double Cash offer arrived, which was a pretty major shock. Go figure.
I know how you feel. I've also received offers from Blaze, First Savings, Legacy, and Show. All say $350- $1500 Credit Limit, 29.9% APR, and $75 AF. They look like they're all from the same place. The only decent offer I've received was actually from Merrick Bank: $1250 CL, doubled to $2500 after 7 months of payments, 19.7% APR, no AF or FTF. I already had Cap1, Discover and Barclays so I didn't apply, but I would have definitely chosen that deal over Credit One when I first started rebuilding.
Verve is one of the bottom feeders of the sub-subprime card market.....
IMHO it approaches predatory lending territory.....
I really REALLY wish folks would "just say NO" and squeak together a secured card ... even if they burned Cap One. its very likely they will get approved for a secured card and even likely its unsecured.......
I got a total of 2 verve offers and 1 first premiere as soon as i generated a score....
NOTHING before that....
Really did wish I got some sort of Merrick offer at that time.. but iv moved onto greener pastures without them.
Now its Discover Mail and Amex .....

You've got to be kidding me.. $125AF AND a $10 monthly fee? Why on earth would anyone apply for this card?Temporary insanity.
^^^This post totally made me lol IRL when I read it!
Usurious. What they'll do to get around the law.
"Verve" sounds like the name of some new age band.

...kinda name is "VERVE"?
30.24 APR, YES that is NOT a typo.
I thought...well I pif anyway, so how bad can it be?
I read the rest.
$125 AF.
$10/mo "maintence fee".
NEVER seen such a rotten credit card!
They gave me a pre-stamped envelope. I am going to kindly tell them where to stick it!
@I'm at a loss of words with such an offer. Honestly, I would have taken that offer to the backyard and shot it twice. Then I'd wipe my @$$ with it while non-chalantly taking a selfie and email said picture to Verve's PR Department. At least that is what I envision myself doing.
Ah, Continental Finance. They even make First Premier look good.

Always return these offers in their "pre-stamped envelopes" stuffed with as much heavy cardboard/paper, lead .... don't add any personal information in the return mail, or even a zipcode, just a weighted "pre-stamped-prepaid" return envelope.
