Guitar Center Gear Card increase?

Hello everybody,

So I recent so I recently got approved for the Guitar Center gear card. But I was only approved for $800, I'm trying to go back into the djing business which I previously had been doing as a young teenager in early 20's, now I'm almost 30. The $800 would only cover maybe half of what I need. Guitar Center is backed by Sync bank. has anyone had any experience with calling their customer service number and requesting a credit increase with success? if so any tips?

I'm not sure with this bank but if you're in the store and making a large purchase the sales rep can sometimes call in and request a CLI for a larger purchase.  Might be folks with that experience who can comment.

All depends. If its backed by Synchrony Financial, it will most likely be a hp as they like to pull your TU and in my short experience with these kind of request, depending on your profile are not always successful. But YMMV so if its worth another hp, you can try or hope maybe the sales rep can get you whst you need without getting an hp. Good luck thoughSmiley Wink

Generall, they approve a lower amount.  You have to call and tell them the amount is insufficient and ask for more.  This is what a rep once told me.
