HAVE I FINALLY BEEN CRAPPED ON?

I had an old acct which was maxed out at 600 cl. After 5 years they gave me a new card with 3000 plus 500 cl if i used card for 3 months and pif. Then i combined cards using oldest date and a/f removed. Now a year later i ask for cli. denied, they treat the 3500 as a cli. ??????

I qualify for much better card but don't want the three hits.

I have no expectations for my Capone to go over the current $5K limit anytime soon- It just does not get used enough-

I have the same problem. I combined my cards into a $3800 CL and now cannot get a CLI through them, even though I have 5 figure CLs from Amex, BOA, and Chase.

If you are looking to waste 1 inq instead of 3 I would say try for Amex, Citi, or Chase.

What's NOT funny is my phone call to the magic number yesterday, trying to coax another CLI.

DH was drunk and I have constantly referred to them as Crapital One. He see's the screen for their site up on my laptop and shout's out really loud that I was on the phone with "Crapital One". Needless to say, they really did not want to be number 1 in my wallet.

I will not try for any CLI's from them in the near future, since she seemed a bit peeved by his remark.

For that matter, I want call any of them while he is looped!

I have had Capital One since 2000. My credit Limit has always been $1,000 and they have never increased it!

This may be a an ignorant question, but did you try the back door number? Rumor has it Capital One likes to see lots of usage with PIF for CLIs. I've also read about some members getting good CLIs after 1 year, FWIW.
