HELP! In-market- Balance Transfer

After a couple years in the garden, I am in search of a solid balance transfer card with 5-10k limit, 0% for 18-21 months.

I had a couple solid offers come in the mail but want to double check with the experts before pulling the trigger.

Thanks,

Rackham

Re: HELP! In-market- Balance Transfer

Not an expert but depending on your scores and reports, definitely look into the Citi Simplicity card with 21 months 0% interest. That's on initial purchases and balance transfers (which also includes direct deposit to your bank account at the BT rate)

Thanks for the quick reply, that is actually one of the cards I received an offer on. Does that offer any other benefits?

While I can't answer your question, I think your chance of getting more input is higher if you provide more info about your overall profile. Good Luck!

Re: HELP! In-market- Balance Transfer

Just a note about Simplicity... others have reported that it's not able to be PC'd to a different card later on due to it's unique features (no late fee, etc.).

The Diamond Preferred has a similar length on the balance transfer, and people have had luck changing it later on to a different card (i.e. Double Cash).

Of course if you believe you'll be happy keeping the Simplicity as-is once your BT is paid off this might not be a concern.  Smiley Wink
