It's like 99% unlikely I would apply for a card with HSBC but this was a free way to see what my older EQ model scores should look like. I don't have the patience to wait a month for them to process my app through fraud and then UW. I am very much an instant gratification person so HSBC is not the FI for me. 

The payment quirk would be an issue for me as well for sure. 


I do not know about others, both My cards were instant approval.

They both came within 7 bus, days.

 

Payments can be made on the app if you have a checking or savings.

I usually just pay on the website, as I mostly use a laptop.


From what I have seen, when they aren't instant, it's quite a process. I don't have the patience for that process.

Getting teeth pulled goes smoother than BECU when things go south. 😂
