Since Cap One purchased HSBC's US credit card portfolio do you think it would be possible to PC or combine credit lines?
The change has begun and CC #'s are being reissued.

Source please?
I know from personal experience that acquiring a bank is pretty darned easy (just migrate their databases, and usually there's few of those that you really need); however, that seems awfully quick even so.

Are you Warren Buffet in disguise?
But going back to the original topic, it's hard enough to get Cap one to PC their own cards, I can't imagine they'll be any more likely to PC the cards they bought from HSBC.

Heh I wish (well somedays, living on a budget for the first time in 17 years).
I have though, worked at several financial services companies: one of which was acquired, another which did the acquiring, and the most strange of all, one that was acquired, but wound up with their name on everything including most of the directorships and above in the management chain... other than the operations and datacenters which all got consolidated away from where I was working (and my job went with them). I never did understand that one as Nations Bank was a pretty significant brand in their own right; however, I don't understand much about BOFA these days anyway.

I have Page One on my tablet and it notified me that my HSBC credit limit and balance was at 0. I knew this was wrong. So I called HSBC and asked them whats up. The rep told me that HSBC was bought by Cap One and systems are migrating and CC numbers are being reissued. But all CC will be still serviced by HSBC. She also said the mail is taking a while
So it came straight from HSBC... I hope I can PC

Ha-Ha... I know that's right! I left this account open just to see what happens with the take over. Not expecting much, just curious.
