Re: HSBC Reporting Slowly?

Those of you that have it on your report for last month, can you tell about what day of the month they took the balance from. (I doubt I'm the only one who watches stuff daily : ) )I'm curious if they pull the balance at the end of the month or if they pull it mid month and just don't report it until end of month, or next month, or next year.....

Re: HSBC Reporting Slowly?

I called HSBC about this today - they informed me that they report on the last working Friday of the month, every month, automatically. I found this funny, because my util has not changed since February, but I've paid 2 cards down from around 90% to under 30% in the last month. Dying to have that reported so I can see what effect it has on my scores.

Re: HSBC Reporting Slowly?

I'm convinced they do what they do on purpose.  They manipulate the numbers to serve their interests.  I purposely waited to put anything on my card until after the 1st of the month and they reported a balance that reflected the 5th.  Their CSR's told me they report on the last day of the month.  I'm just waiting on BT's to hit and they get the old HSBC punt.
HSBC = Had Some But Closed.

For me, the recent updates to EX and TU show the balance as of 3/31, which was a single transaction posted three days prior.

Re: HSBC Reporting Slowly?

I PIF a 4,400. balance on 3/22. EQ (for example) currently shows that balance still on the account with a date reported of 3/2008. BUT if you go down to the 81 month history, February is the last block colored in. Now, is the date reported the actual date they post it on your CR or is it the month that the report was reported for? Is that balance the February balance that didn't get posted until March or the actual March balance? In other words, have they posted me for March?
