Dont waste HPs applying for "no use/garbage" cards like First Premier and Credit one.
+1
When I was starting out, Citi really gave me a chance when Discover and others wouldn't. You could look into getting one of their student cards. The good thing about Citi is that sometimes they even offer a SP CLI option if you wanna increase your limit. Discover It for students and CapOne Journey are also worthy choices.
This is all very helpful. I am glad I found this board, everyone on here knows there stuff. I hear stories about people messing up there credit when they were young. I don't want to make that mistake! thats why I'm asking for any advice anyone can give me, I really apperciate it!

Very good
I recommend getting in with a local Credit Union-they will be more generous with credit lines and more receptive to working with you. I work in the financial industry and prior to that was a small business owner so I have experience with all of the big banks and I have never been treated as well as by my credit union. Best choice I ever made. Good luck in your credit journey.
