So I am a couple of months away from 7 year mark on my BK (chapter 7). I have so far been denied by CITI (other than the co branded cards, Sears, Costco etc). CHASE is always no except for the lousy $500 CL they gave me on the Amazon card which I closed after more than 1 year with no CLI. Pretty much in with most other lenders. AX always approves me ( member since 1989) but lately won't give me any new bonuses. Yes I get the dreaded message. I have 200-250k available credit with approx 6% UT no baddies since 2012. Scores range from 698-730. Around 20/24. Most new accounts are from 2017 and 2018. Have slowed down a lot. How long before CITI and CHASE forgive the BK? Should be at or under 5/24 in 12-15 months. Wife will be there sooner and has almost identical profile with slightly higher scores. Any other ideas until those 2 lenders come around ? Neither included in BK. My current lenders are Discover, AX, NFCU, Penfed, Comenity, Synchrony, US Bank, Barclays, BofA, AK USA, Cap One, TD.
There have been a few exceptions. But count on as long as the BK is on your file. Chase and Citi are really no go's.

I can remember when @Scupra got a Chase card just a few years after BK I think it was the Freedom but dont quote me. Also saw a few people get the CITI DC but few and far between. I guess I will have to start hounding the 3 CB to remove my BK early Lol on that.
Long time no see @morgacj2004 I still haven't been able to get Citi to give me a CLI on my Costco card, I think we are stuck here until the BK is gone.
With Chase I went after the Freedom first, was given a $500 SL and shortly had it raised to $5k. After that I obtained the CSP at $5k as well. Both took a considerable amount of smooth talk and brown nosing in the form of a recon

Nice to hear from you again I have been busy with work and other duties. Well you have had better luck than me. My CITI Costco card came with a 9.5k CL so I have never asked for more . CHASE even turned me down for the Starbucks card
