How much do you spend monthly? Only you can decide if the extra 1% is worth it to you.

I won't lie...I would love a Spiderman credit card. I don't have any characters on my cards...not since Hello Kitty was on my Japanese bank card. Smiley Sad

lol that's a very good question... short answer is I have no idea lol... long answer: usually around $1k-$2k/month just on my end... and predominant majority on entertainment... not all of it but if you include Amazon... easily 80% of that goes to restaurants/bars and my unhealthy video gaming habits... more if we're traveling somewhere... and that's just on my side... fiancee still picks up quite a bit as well cause...  you know... girls get drinks at the bar quicker lol... I'd say a month we spend likely around $700-$1500 on various sorts of entertainment conservatively... if you throw in Amazon Prime/Now... I dunno lol

so $7-$15/mo on my end, maybe a bit less on hers, which clearly would mainly shift to this card... I think $20-$25/mo is a safe bet, more if something is happening or if we travel... plus not sure if Amazon is considered as a bookstore... if it is, that number skyrockets... without amazon, this will probably be around $250-$300/year... doesn't seem terrible?

Did you app yet?

You'll be fine. Being someone who is closing on my first house next week, those inquiries and accounts won't matter that far down the line. Your scores may take a hit initially, but your available credit will boost your back up fairly quickly. My underwriter only looked at inquiries in the past 3 months, and they mentioned nothing about thr 2 cards I opened 6 and i months prior.

As always though, everyone's situation and report is different, so there's no one right answer. No one can guess how far your score will drop or how long it will take to recover. But from what I see, you have no reason to worry whatsoever.

IMHO don't app for Blispay until after you close.

but do the Marvel, right? I'm actually more excited about Marvel cause fiancee does all our grocery/daily life shopping and I've always paid for our dining/drinks/entertainment... clearly accounts will be joint at some point, but likely not the credit cards till we close (so we don't bring down each other's scores twice with new lines)

PS I can sort of live without Blispay... technically I have a 2% everyday card... DC doesn't seem as good though and the limit is a joke... but it's SOMETHING you know... I feel like I'm more jaded by the rarity (limited amount) of Blispay...

How much is your non-category spend?  TBH, I'm far happier with my QE than my Citi DC.

$200-300 a year isn't bad, but it's up to you if you want another account to manage and the HP/AAoA hit!

How much is your Amazon spend? Have you considered the store card for the 5%?

PS - I love CAPTOOL's disclaimer.
