Help with BoA!!

Ok, i was offered the 99/500 card and on may the 9th i paid the $99.00 and submitted my application, well still to this day they havent taken the money out of my checking and no card. ive called them 2 times and they have no record of it, has anyone had this happen, what should i do??

Maybe cancel the check and re-apply?

i paid online so i cant cancel the payment, its suppose to be taken directly out of my checking account, and i didnt receive any conformation numbers or reference numbers i didnt get an email so i have nothing to give them in reference to this. this really sucks!!

What day did you mail your app and check?  On May 9th?  I mailed mine on May 7th and the check cleared my bank on May 15th.  Did you ask for the secured card department when you called?  The customer service # they give online to call and check on application status is for unsecured cards.  Make sure they transfer you to the secured dept.

not sure what dept i called but heres the number 1-800-824-5895, i told the lady it was for the 99/500 card. yea it was may 9th i didnt mail in an application i did it online and they were suppose to take it directly out of my checking, i think they have so many applications they dont know what to do with them all, just really upsets me ive been waiting forever to find out they dont even have it on record!!

I've read that unlike their unsecured cards, the whole secured card app and processing bit is slower than Christmas. You're probably right about them being swamped. I'd call, though, since you have that authorized w/d floating around somewhere.

It mine two weeks to clear.  It took maybe another week or two to get the card.

When I called about my secured CC... I had alota problem getting any answer and the first problem it seemed was the regular number to call for CC seem to be little clueless or have limited access to the secured CC devision... so next time I called the CC line I asked right away to be transfered to the secured CC section and from there they was very helpful and found out couple mistake was done and gotten it corrected but I even called couple days later and found out 1 mistake wasnt done right and the lady corrected and told me money will be taken out of account and when i get card and everything... she was correct

I guess I got lucky because mine was processed pretty quickly.  To the OP, that number you're calling is for the regular CC's.  Call them again and ask to be transferred to the "secured card" department.  Hopefully they can find out more for you.

I think it was concord who said it took them up to 2 months to cash his check.
