Help with Capial One Lame Excuse

So I applied for Capital One about 2 wks ago and I finally received the decision by mail today and here is what it says exactly

"Based on the application information you provided, either the application submitted is incomplete or cannot be verified"

What the heck does that mean? but yet they managed to pull all 3 of my CR (I filled out the application online and it said 7-14 business day reply even put in my home,work #) that is the worst explanation of a denial I ever heared.

So Im wondering if any of you experienced credit guys or gals would help me word a response to see if they would reconsider me it says at the bottom of the letter "If you feel you have additional info you wish to submit feel free to write to us" but I dont know what would be proper for a reconsideration.

Asked because they do call to verify sometimes. If they were able to get in contact with you maybe that is what they mean by "unable to verify."

Have you tried calling them to see what did they mean by unable to verify?

Sorry to hear that...I also applied they pulled all 3 CRA's got an instant approval for only 300....no call so far...

My first card I got an instant approval and no call. I applied for a second one and received the 7-10 day response and was told I would receive a letter in the mail, two days later they called to verify.

From my experience they do not call when you get an instant approval.

How long after your first card did you apply for the second jaybee?

6 months exactly.

Just got off the phone with 3 diff CSR and nothing not one of those tools could give me a reason.....they all said ahhhhhh I really dont know why sir... but ahhh let me transfer you......next one would say jeez thats weird I dont know why its showing incomplete on your application. I told them how is it incomplete if you were able to pull all 3 of my reports and have my correct mailing address and name.

I asked for a supervisor and was on hold for 25-30 min so I just gave up.  I guess if someone could help me word a letter I could try for a reconsideration It sucks to throw away 3 hard inq for no reason.....
