They give you that info in the pre approval stage?!

Just for clarification, the FNBO site is a pre-qualification portal, not indicative of being approved since the portal is not 100% reliable and results will vary for different profiles.

Correct. Nothing is 100% though. Some of us got instantly approved, others had to send everything but a dna sample to be approved, and others were denied right off the bat.
I would suggest the BBVA prequal tool, but it's down while they merge into PNC.
Very tempting... pre qual claims 15k CL at 18.25%. Does FNBO do SP CLIs in the future?

Yes. If your account qualifies and has a SP CLI offer, sure. It has to be requested via an agent, not online. Otherwise, if submitted online it can result in a HP. The max they can grow via SP is typically $25K. After that, it's usually HP unless you get any auto-CLIs.

Interesting, I think this is the first time I've ever seen Citi mentioned as high starting CLs.

For certain profiles, Citi can be generous with SLs. All of mine have been in the high range for their starting limits, regardless of the card. So, you don't see it too often, but they certainly do happen.

Does AMEX add to your total CL on your reports?
Each individual AmEx revolving account reports separately. Not sure what is meant by adding total CL on CRs? Can you clarify your statement?
Also, AmEx keeps track of internal overall exposure just like all other lenders do.
I wasn't sure if Amex specifically was different from other cards in how they display CL on your reports. It sounds like they are the exact same as all other cards.
Correct, they are no different than say...if you have 3 BoA or Chase or SYNCB revolving accounts. They will each report separately with their own CL and balances (as applicable).
Are any of the Amex cards still considered charge cards? If so how does the reporting on those work in terms of total credit/util?

Yes, Green, Gold, Platinum (ZYNC is no longer available for applications and Centurion card is by invitation only)
The charge cards report, but they do not list a CL. From what I've seen, they report as charge cards with a term of one month (whenever there is a balance reported).
Although there is no limit disclosed on CRs, older FICO models use the highest reported balance as a “limit”. Any balance reported is not factored into my utilization for current scoring models.
But, the account is factored into the number of accounts with a balance. So having a balance on the card could impact your FICO scores if it puts your % of accounts with a balance over a certain threshold.

Yup, got the same offer, continued, and got instant approval as promised. So, happy camper here :-)
