Well, CJ is a revolving account, so that is good. Does it show up on your reports? You have to actually order something from them first.

Oh yeah, it's been reporting for two months. I also have a student loan in good standing (installment I know) and two Au accounts. AMEX and Chase.

Re: Hooters Recon.

Cheddar is correct. I had applied and got 2 poopie cards that I would never recommend to anyone here (unless of course I hated them for some reason). When those showed up on my reports (and of course I wish now more than ever they WERE hidden), Hooter's promptly approved me once they did.

Hmmm..did you have any baddies? I just was approved for a Target Red and Orchard that are not showing. I will wait until they do and try again.

Re: Hooters Recon.

You may want to call Hooters just to be sure. But- you may need one more revolving account that is reporting to your CR's when you apply.

Since it has been over a year of me receiving the card, and things are rapidly changing, I don't want to lead you in the wrong direction and make you waste another pull if you don't have to.

I'm just sharing my experience. Smiley Happy

Re: Hooters Recon.

I had a slew of medical baddies and a couple of utilities c/o somewhere in there. PFD and GW works wonders!

Re: Hooters Recon.

I was working on paying mine at the time. So, some were paid and some weren't. I was eventually able to get all of them off. (I had 25 derogs!)

Go over to rebuilding and work on your remaining baddies. Adding positive tradelines is only half of the repair process. Make sure you don't skip on the other.

Re: Hooters Recon.

I think you have to buy something from CJ to get it too report and I am not sure if it is reporting to all three CB's.

A reporting CJ TL and a bunch of AU accounts is not going to stand up well on an MR. This is really sketchy. I would app for a card with BofA and accept a secured card if offered. After you have that card and it is reporting you might want to try Macys.

Re: Hooters Recon.

YMMV but IMO Hooters does not Recon, at least they did not for me. My baddies at the time were two Paid In Full collections (both for utility bills that were over 3 years old) and I had 4 positive TL's reporting, two auto loans (one paid off, one current) and two CC"s. I thought for sure Hooters would accept me and become my first unsecured card. Nope. They are evil! Of course not as EVIL as Cap 1 who did the same thing to me but pulled all three credit reports.)
