Organs are very expensive-looking, they can't just let anyone redeem for that kinda class!  "Perhaps" = most folks will get into a keyboard restoration class instead.

It's worth noting that a person does not necessarily need to choose strictly between Team CashBack and Team Travel.  You could go the Chase, Citi, etc route with cash cards that really earn points.  Redeem for the money at 1 cpp or transfer to partners, as long as you hold one premium card, the choices aren't mutually exclusive.  The other route is a hybrid like the USBAR, can book direct for 1.5 cpp, no portals no problems, no need to transfer points.

I'll probably always prefer plain old cash, barring some huge change in life circumstances.  Travel rewards are usually much higher redemptions, but if you're not travelling, well...

I supposed the aspirational award space in the church organ restoration class will be capacity controlled.

Seriously though, the hybrid approach to rewards systems is how I am rolling these days.  I have MR point cards, but I don't put much spend on them.  I have the USBAR, which I use quite a lot for travel RTR redemptions.  The rest of my main cards are now cashback focused.
