Re: How accurate is This site

It seems to me the scores on the "Get a Credit Card" page tend to run low.  There are lots of cards the page tells me I would qualify for that I am positive I couldn't get right now.

Also remember the page goes by scores alone.  In real life, your scores are just one piece of the puzzle, and lenders use the actual info on your report, as well.

I just wanted to see because I had like 52 offers when I checked. Would that be about right or not?

Pick one card you like in the list and app for it and see what happens.

Easy said then done

Oh well, we live only once and I might as well face it and enjoy the excitement.

In the last 24 hours, I pulled the trigger on this site and applied for 4 cards I liked.

Citi Bronze / AA Approved for $5K CL
Citi Hilton Honors / 7-10 Day Message
Discover Monogram / Declined
Fidelity 529 Amex Card / After filling out app it took me Fidelity Website. No message if my app was approved or declined or even confirmation it is submitted. Have to wait and see what happens.

So now my advice is, stay away from Discover/Amex cards from this site unless your scores are in 700's. If your scores are under 700 then go for Citi / Iberia cards.

I had my fun and enjoyed. Oh well, I'll take a hit my scores with inquiries. I live only once and might as well have the fun for the sake of it.

Now that I got at least one prime card out this effort, I am happy. Can not complain.

Monday, I'll freeze my Credit Reports for 12 months and I'll start closing my secured card accounts and get the money back and save it towards the house down payment.

Now I am going to enjoy my life and new cards and have some fun for few days. Hay, I had fun. We all live once. Might as well make the best of it.

I will not apply because I want to go to New York this summer to watch the YANKEES play.

Have fun at the game in NY. I am sure it will be more exciting than this. I want to take a trip down to South America. I heard Brazil now is the hottest economy and one of the fastest growing. I want to plan for a trip down there and check out some of the business opportunities there.

I would say not too accurate. Seems thats it's only based on scores as compared to listings on cr. Reason is bc I get 50 offers with my eq score. They all come Amex, Citi, Discover Chase, the biggest BK unfriendliest companies of all. Not a chance in hell me being approved for any of those with my bk from 05-06 LOL...

For sure Discover should not be in that list. It is very hard to get and I am not sure why they are offering that as one of the choices.

Not to get off topic, but there is ScorMatch comparison website:

http://www.financeglobe.com/ScoreMatch/?gl&gclid=COiUr97s944CFRcbWAodswwy0w

I have played on that site alot. The neat thing about that website, it actually gives you a recommended score listed by the cc that they found based on your FICO score search criteria.

Does anyone have a feel for how reasonable that site is?
