I wonder why chase is so eager to report 0 balances. Does anyone know?
LOL... good question, but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth! ![]()
@Anonymous wrote:Yeah, make Chase non-AZEO. I've been using Discover as AZEO, since "they prefer you carry a balance." "Amex & Chase prefer not carrying a balance." I'm too new to it all to be sure, but I got an autoCLI from Chase at 3.5mo, possibly by paying to zero before statement cut date. Also 2 3xCLIs from Amex. The myFICO wisdom is working for me.
edit... When you make Amex or CapOne AZEO, they report to CBs, your score will/should gain back points lost to Chase reporting zero.

It’s been a while but I remember someone stating I shouldn’t have any issue with AZEO with my chase, maybe I was given the wrong info. Wish I knew this sooner, so either AMEX or Cap1 should be the card that should be reporting a balance.
Glad I found this early... I was going to make chase the one on AZEO... I feel like this post was directly tailored for me as I have amex, chase and discover!
Discover it is for now.
THIS!!!!
...because I am SO glad they do ![]()

X2. Use it to your advantage, by making your Chase card(s) the ones that report as zero. Use something else as your non-zero reporting card.
That said, you don't need to AZEO every month... it's just a tactic to maximize your score when you need it such as when you're applying for something and want to be approved or get the best rate (i.e. mortgage, car loan, a new card or CLI, etc).
