Try it lol. A triple pull denial would most likely be the result. Though I'm not sure really....but their max is five cards.

@Anonymous wrote:That is a really tough question in terms of putting an exact time on it. What I can tell you is that a few days after apping and being approved for two Cap 1 cards, they no longer have me pre qualified for any products and only have "we think you would like ...". And it now only has the prestige and Venture one since I got the Venture and QS.
One month after your approval date you will be prequalified again. Unless you're at their max 5 cards.
OP, that is a good question and really hard to pinpoint.
I have 5 cards with Capital One and I'm still Pre-approved for a Venture.....I already have 2 Venture's

Cap 1 does a SP almost every time I check the prequal site. With Chase, I've never found a SP on any of my reports though they do give me prequal offers, and I've seen the offers get better (APR rate) as my reports have updated with baddies falling off over the past couple months. So I think for me, Chase is getting my report info some other way than via a SP.
That's interesting, and after what CreditCuriousity said it makes me wonder if some lenders get their pre-qual info from someone other than the main 3 bureaus. Perhaps some get it from Innovis, SageStream (formerly IDA), or ARS? Or some other bureau we're unaware of? That could be why we don't see SPs on our main credit reports.

Out of curiosity, when you opted back in, how long did it take to get prequal offers?

It took aout 2 weeks and then I began getting offers on some of the prequal sites
@CreditCuriousity wrote:This depends on the credit card company... Some companies will SP you, but not usually.. It appears that they most likely get fed a file they buy from the CB's and/or MyFico and load into their system(cheaper than SP's) based on certain credit criteria the issuers is seeking and most likely such file would be loaded each month is my guess.
totally agree with this. As once my scores got a little better but my files became clean. i still did not get any pre quals until about a month after. I also noticed. i was still getting pre quals with citi up until 5 days after i got approved for the double cash.
Not im not getting anything. Same thing happened with chase.
so i think they get feed a list or something.
