Lol!! Thank you for encouraging me to do this!! I got bold!! I asked for 24,000, double my current. The computer thought about it for a few seconds and gave me a new line of 21,600.00!!! Not sure about the 600. Haha!! Now this is by biggest limit!! My freedom is at 17,000. Itd been paid off for some time. I don't really want that card but the CL is so valuable!!
Now I have another reason to love Alaska Airlines card even more!!!

Congrats!  That is almost exactly my BankAmericard story.  Starting line was also $12,000.  Hit the button when it showed up about 3 months after opening the account, asked for $25,000 and it immediately gave me your same $21,600.  I hate the odd $600 at the end, but it works out to be an exactly 80% credit line increase.  I'll ask for $50k on it and $40k on my Travel Rewards next year before I move the limit from the BankAmericard to my substantially older Travel Rewards card - with counter-offers, I'm hoping for something in the $60k+ range total.  I'm glad it worked out for you.  Some people are very hesitant to take the HP, but BOA can be well worth it.

BOA is the best, aren't they?  If you have multiple cards, and have grown them to a point, BOA will reallocate  the next cli on your requested card from another.  That happened to me (three cards).  I had to call and set the limits where I wanted them.  They were cooperative (and very nice) about it, with a soft pull.  I closed my TR card, transferred the cl to my CR and Merrill cards.  Internal limit: 76k, may try later this year, but I will call first!

Here's another data point for you since our numbers were identical... I logged in to BOA today and the Request A Credit Line Increase came back on my other card.  Thought that I may as well try before a handful of new accounts report and likely drop me back down to the 720s or lower.  Asked for $32k and they gave me $26,800 - another $10,200 CLI after I received a doubling to $16,200 on January 1st!  That card was an old MBNA card that was $5100 for over a decade (I never asked for a CLI), then I got a $3k auto CLI about a year ago.  So actually more than 5x CLI over the course of a year or so!!!

I don't have experience with the AK card, but on my two BofA cards in the online account. You'll see a link "increase credit limit". It only appears when you're eligible for an increase. BofA is great about bumping limits. It will be a HP on TU.

That's really good to know, thanks! My BoA Visa started out as a $300 secured card in May 2015, 2010 BK7 included one BoA card for $8k I got unsecured at 7 months. I've been seeing the "increase credit limit" link for a couple months, but try to avoid a HP just for a CLI. I got an auto CLI to $1800 in early March, so I called to ask if I got get rewards added and got it converted to a Cash Rewards Platinum Plus w/no HP. Just checked and the "increase credit limit" link is gone, makes sense so soon after an auto CLI.

It was my least used card with only a $300 CL & no rewards, I'd just toss them Netflix & a few other small charges. But with 3% rewards on gas & 2% on groceries it's now one of my better rewards card so I'll be using it alot more. I'll keep an eye out for "increase credit limit" link to come back, my TU isn't too bad for inquiries.

Re: How is BOA with CLI????

My credit limit increase option is still there!! Don't want another hard hit on TU though for a limit increase I don't need. Has anyone else experienced the link hanging out and getting a second immediate CLI with success?

If memory serves me correctly, it sticks around for about a week.  I think BOA likes at least 90 days between CLIs, but I have read of some people here double-dipping in a single day.  Not sure if that was online, phone, or a combo of the two, though.

There is some lag after CLI. Don't hit it twice. I've done it and they will almost always send 7-10 day notice that they can't approve a second CLI.
Overall, BoA has been great about expanding my credit without regular usage except for some BTs. I went from one old card with 7k limit to 2 monster 50k cards since last May. Just keep hitting luv button until they stop giving it out for free.
