I had to wait 3 years to get decent credit cards. I think a year is a breeze.Exactly. Op - you asked for opinions and folks have provided their thoughts. No one is going to hold you back. If you want to take your chances, you're free to apply whenever as you wish.
I think it's also good to think "suppose I had never found this site. Would I know of, let alone want, let alone need, these cards!" (You already have the Sallie Mae and Fidelity Amex that sort of fit that). So for a year you can try to recapture that feeling, there is probably no great reason why you need those cards ASAP.

Blue cash preferred (I want the preferred version and will think about if i want to downgrade it after a year before the AF hits if approved. )
Unless you get a special offer, the fee is not waived for the first year on the Blue Cash Preferred!

I originally started to garden in May 22nd.. BUT due to my curiosity of the shopping cart trick.. i got another open TL on June 22nd..
so my REAL gardening time started on June 23rd....
Cards that I want.. Not sure if I could do it all at once via an app spree (I don't think so)
Freedom.. (But this one I will wait for whenever they have the 200 sign up bonus..)
I have also decided to put an end to my Freedom deprivation, once they offer the $200 again. If what happened in 2013 repeats this year, we are exactly a month away from having that offer back. Stay tuned.

We're all a little addicted here.
Why do you think i have 12INQs on my EX?
"WE" is a lot of people. Some of us are not part of that "WE." Some of us are instead into watching addicts go about their addicting behavior, applying here, applying there, getting frustrated here, getting "happy" there (briefly),,, or even better, we love to see them voluntarily deprive themselves and watch them twitch in the garden for six months... it's fun, it relaxes us...

Typical addict denial! "I'm not addicted, I just hang out here for good reasons [well, not so good in this case] I can give up Myfico any time.... It's fun and relaxing..." So maybe not addicted to apping, but addicted to watching apping! Better, worse or just different?

In the end it will be better for my scores! But, anyway, I am sure you would not be surprised if I told you, you are not the first "pipe" guy who tries to psychoanalyze me...
