Personally, the quicker it reports, the better! This is my third card for AZEO so I'm itching for it to start reporting already.
wrote:Another bonus of the delay is that if you have high utilization of the card to meet the spend for a signup bonus, it won't ding that part of your credit scores, provided you've paid down the balance before the next statement that does report. Other than making a massive impact on overall utilization (say you're using $4500 of a $5000 credit line on your only credit card and you get approved for a $15000 card with $0 balance, bringing you from 90% overall utilization to 22.5% overall utilization), I can't think of any scenarios where you would want a new credit card to report sooner.
I am trying to meet the spend bonus but I am pretty decent and paying it off quickly. I spend and pay, so the utilization for this card isn't really an issue. I am trying for 3 reporters with AZEO so Im anxious for this one to start reporting already.
Hmmmm, every profile is different but I would think the new account sting (# of new accounts opened in last x months/y months/z months, # of months since last opened account, reduction in average age of accounts) would hurt most profiles a lot more than AZEO would help (in the short term, of course).
