Re: How long for a cli on discover it for a new cardmember?

It definitely varies. I had my card for 13 months and didn't receive one automatic cli. I was late to the gravy train but did get a cli when I requested it back in June. My initial limit was $1,110. It was increased to $4,500.  I requested another cli a few weeks later but as was mentioned the gravy train had left.

At the point, I figured I'll wait 6 months and request another cli. I requested a cli Monday and was approved. My cli was bumped $2,300 to $6,800.

So from my experience the best way for me to get cli's was to periodically request them.

As a test, I'll wait 3 months and request another cli and see what happens.

$500 cli after a month. Definitely better than nothing. As long as a cli is a soft pull there's no harm in trying. After I received a cli I tried for another 3 weeks later but was denied. I received a letter and I believe it stated to wait a certain amount of time before requesting another cli. I can't remember how much time. (Maybe it was 90 days)

I just got my discover it about 3 weeks ago. Obviously I wanna get on this gravy train ASAP of the cli. What's the fastest you can get one?  90 days?  And I'm talking the soft pull variety. I was given a decent starting limit of 10k but the more the merrier.

I hit the luv button at 85 days and was denied for not enough expierance with current card, then hit the luv button at 91 days and got the congratulations and a $500 increase.

Thanks for the info. I'll wait 91 days and request another.

I saw your message and decided to try for a CLI. My SL was $1,000. They increased to $4,000! I also opened my account on Oct 29th.
