Long story short, I have an AAA Daily Advantage Visa Signature I got in January 2024.
5% on groceries even at Walmart. Great for saving!
However, the 5% is capped at 10k spending per year, which is not enough for a family of four.
There is a rule that each individual can only have either Daily Advantage or Travel Advantage. Not both.
I am wondering if this rule applies to just each individual or the family as whole? That is, if my wife can also get one Daily Advantage too from the same address? Has anyone obtained more than one for the same household?
my wife actually applied for it in February but got denied (most likely due to she had applied for another card just two months before). But at this point, I am not sure if it is due to there is already one AAA Daily Advantage registered to the same address. Please confirm if anyone has more than one in the family before I ask my wife to apply again lol.
much appreciated! 😆
Having more than 1 person at the same address getting the same card isn't a problem, it only matters that your wife's credit profile and your household income justify an approval.
No experience with this card or issuer.
However my wife and I have done the same with 5 other
card issuers and never had a problem.
I think it on score, profile and income.
I think the SSN linked to a credit report is what is important, not the address in the report.
OP, have you considered AmEx BCP? 6% cash back on groceries and streaming, 3% on gas. My wife and I each have one because we both max out the $6k cap. We supplent with SavorOne once we are maxed out for the year. We don't shop at Wally World though, so that might not work for you. We are Aldi and Meijer folks, don't you know.
Soapbox moment: Aldi is the best place for groceries hands down.
FICO® 8: 781 (Eq) | 760 (Ex) | 774 (TU)
I know it's not the AAA Daily Advantage but my wife and I both have citi Custom Cashes and we are both AUs on the other's card.
BCP has annual fees. I do not want to pay annual fees. And AMEX cards’ groceries does not include Walmart.
I have Redstone visa signature for 5% on both gas and restaurants, while AAA Daily Advantage covers groceries including Walmart for 5% cash back. Both Redstone and AAA have no fees. So I have better cards 😆. Just need one more AAA Daily Advantage to double the spending cap of 10k per year.

The tricky part is that AAA have the rule to pervent each person from having both Daily Advantage and Travel Advantage. Even though they are two different cards. So I am not sure if they also limit each family to have just one of the same card. My wife already took a hard pull for trying back in February. We need to make sure she can indeed get one before applying again.

I am curious if you (the wife) got the denial reasons letter.
I too have the Daily Advantage Visa CC,
I learned the hard way, I regularly check on the rewards accumulated on each transaction and noticed within the same week that rewards were being categorized as 1%-all other. Immediately look into the terms and conditions and realized there was a $500 cash back cap. Now I'm going to put this card in the sock drawer until January. I added my wife as an AU so I don't think they'll approve her if she applies for her own according to this topic. Maybe I'll have her apply for the other version, the Travel Advantage.
Maybe the wise thing to do(new users) is to have each one apply for a different one and after approval add each other as AU.
Give us an update!!!
My DH and I both have this card, each own account .
What. I am curious about is why was she denied previously
Address has zero to do with it, we have alot of the same accounts with same creditors 20+.
