I was just sitting here tonight day dreaming about that sexy looking card, and someday having it (someday meaning 9yrs from now after my BK falls off), and it got me to thinking! Since the announcement that they brought it back I wonder how many apps they got ? Between all the credit forums, and people just hearing about it and the AF they charge..... Man, lets say 5000 applied some for the $99, and some for the $300... They are making like $2 million in new AF's at a minimum probably. Would be neat to know how many apps they got since their announcement.
$2 million is baby money, especially for a financial institution.

A CSR quoted me a figure of "3,000 in the first month"
Take it with a truckload of salt if you wish, I thought it sounded like a low number personally.
were most people apping for the potential for huge CL ? i am still mixed on the card .

Mongs..... I think it was a combo of them bringing back a classic card AND then it was the big limits, lol! I'm surprised you haven't apped! You need it!! Just do it...
the fact there is no waived AF and no signup bonus makes me pretty meh about the card. Especially if i compare the DCP to the SPG , which has 25k signup bonus and waived first year AF. I think both cards are pretty similar yes no? If not educate me :-)

That turned me off too at first but once I saw I could get lounge access at DFW with refrigerated air as an amenity, I was sold!

yeah i don't know if its for me i don't spend enough money i think to make it worth while for me to get either SPG or DCP. EDP is going to be used for everything but travel and dining for me. The one thing thta really appeals me about SPG and DCP is they have access to Alaska Airline as transfer partner. Thats pretty valuable to me because of alaska air partners :-)
