What is the best approach to recon with Chase regarding my denial for the United Exploxer Card ? I have 88,000 United miles that I wanted to transfer to this card if approved.. I didn't want to lose the miles I have acquired thus far...

You can't tranfer miles to a card if I understand your question correctly but you can transfer miles from the credit card to an airline. What is the reason for denial? What are your FICO scores? How many inquiries? Any baddies on your reports? Just trying to get a snapshot of your credit profile.
Thanks for the response .... Yes, there are some old baddies, some lates from old car payments/cards I no longer have.. I have been 30 days late with my mortgage 2 times in 2014, All accounts current... I had a Chase United Milege Exploxer Debit Card, that's how I was able to accrue the miles.. They no longer offer that card as a debit card... FICO Scores are Trans: 697 and Exp: 643

What is your EQ FICO? Do you have any Chase cards if so, what are the limits? What was the reason for denial and how long ago did you put in the application?
Those lates might be too recent.
Do you have any prior or current relationship with Chase?
If you call recon, just explain why you had the lates in 2014 but say you are financially on track for the past year with nothing negative. Sometimes they pull just TU for a recon and 697 should let you in.
They pulled Trans and Exp for the application... My Equifax is frozen.. Its my lowest score They said too many inquires in the last six months and serious deliquencies..
If i should wait, I can ... I have a banking relationship with them for over 25 years.. checking and savings... My employee check is deposited there also every two weeks.. No credit cards with them ... I applied July 9th

How many inquiries do you have on TU and EX? What other cards do you have and what are their limits?
I have 12 inquiries on Trans ... 8 inquires on Exp... 10 new accounts within 6 months... None of the are maxed out... 10 percent utilization... Highest Store Card limit: Lowe's 12,000 and Higest Bank card Limit Cap 1 QS: 3000
Lowest limit Merrick Bank 700.00 will double in August... Amazingly, I have been able to acquire BOA ( 1500.) and 3 amex cards with my scores ( Gold PRG, Delta Gold and the ED card ) Not reporting as of yet

You said you have a banking relationship with Chase for 25 years. Chase goes by their internal scores and although you have serious deliquencies, all may not be lost. Do have have a lot of money at Chase? 3digits, 4 digits, 5 digits or 6 digits? It does make a difference. I think you should at least call and explain yourself. Answer and we can work on at least 1 recon phone call to Chase.
Is it also fair to say you are rebuilding based on the info. you provided?

I think the best way to go about it is just to call, be honest and hope you get a nice analyst. I had one that was super nice but sadly his manager still said NO MAS! But he did say to give it 6 more months or so of building and getting my high balance down and I should be golden.
You already took the 2 hard pulls so may as well try to recon it. Somehow it seems like the male analyst's are better to work with LOL.
