I realized when I called for things concerning my freedom and slate accounts I always got the call routed overseas (Philippines maybe !?) , every time I call about my united explorer card I get an American ! In order to always get the american when the system ask for the last 4 digits put the ones in your visa signatures (CSP , United , Marriot) and then just ask them about your freedom , slate or amazon accounts ... I have nothing against overseas csr's and for the most part we can communicate quite well ( except with amex and citi' CSR ) but sometimes the accents get too thick and you hang up the call with more questions than what you had before you did the call lolololol! If you guys know other issuers that will always get a U.S. based csr feel free to share

Until I got my RC, I used the CSP line for everything.
I took me a couple months to realize it

With any credit card, when calling for customer service, one can always ask up front "where are you located?" or "are you Stateside/in the USA?" (if not given when connected to a CSR). If you want to speak to someone Stateside, simply ask to be transferred to someone in the USA. If one puts in the last 4 of a specific card, and it's not the card that the CSR handles, one could get transferred to another CSR....off shore.
I've used this method successfully in getting a CSR Stateside.

Tried that yesterday with some CSR's, cause overseas couldn't help with this issue. Had several that said they were in the US when they weren't. Was a bit livid. Took 2 hours to get US rep.
Many companies are starting to li**, I mean be inaccurate, about their location. Some of those companies pay by the amount of people not transferred, not by the hour, it's why the reps also do not like to transfer, even to supervisor.
Discover also offers 100% US based CSR's. They actually have the best reps that I have come across; always very friendly and eager to solve your problems.
I would glady pay an AF to have stateside CSR's, vs. dealing with people that can't do anything out sourced/oversees. Time is money and tlaking with out sourced csr's is a waste of my time 99.9% of the time.
This is why I love my CSP and so far barlcay's and had pretty dang pleasent stateside experience with amex as well.. Cap1, not so much . Hence have the EO's # in my phone for when that is needed
I have always gotten US reps on my BoA accounts, Discover, and my Barclaycard Ring. My other accounts, not so much. I sometimes get US reps on my AMEX cards, but sometimes don't, so that's a crapshoot. I've never gotten a US rep on my Sallie Mae card, and I don't believe I've ever gotten a US rep for my Citi card. I wish these other banks would just use US call centers. I'd use those cards more if they did.
