How to get to that elusive 5000$ card!!!! Can anyone help

Well after 14 months of credit building history I have finally broke the 700 mark thanks to all the great people on this forum. Went from 640s to now having a 725eq 718tu 727ex. And ben a member for only 2 months to myfico.
I just applied for citi simplicity and was approved for 3900.Ihave the Diamond Preferred for 3100cl after I did aome auto luv and 2 chase cards at 2000.
What do I have to do to get to 5000cl???
I have only 3yrs credit card history but my oldest auto loan is over 9years ago reported. Salary is 48000.
You guys and gals of course have gotten me this far so any info will help and thank you to all the contributors. It's been a great and aggrevating ride so far. Didn't know credit could be so stressful.

Check Cap One's pre qual link. If the Venture card pops up, odds are excellent that you can get your first $5K card.

Thanks captool,not sure how cap1 would respond. Defaulted on 1 of there cards once but it has come off report about a year ago. I have a Kohls card which belongs to cap1 approved for 1500,so I don't know how they would respond. There the only one I have ever got behind on but that was 9 years ago

This forum is loaded with peeps who had problems with Cap One in the past, and are now carrying high limit Cap One cards. Check the pre qual link, it's usually very reliable.

Thanks peeps. My walmart 6000 limit cc is the only card thats made it to 5000 and its a store card. If I can get at least one of my good cards to 5000 I'll be satisfied. Thanks everyone's great on here.

Don't worry about Cap One and black listing you. They don't. I was worried about apping Cap One too as I have a 2K open judgement for Cap One from 2009. I had no intention of apping them until some good people on this forum said "go for it. They don't blacklist." So with only 2 secured cards and a Credit One card, I appd and got 5K QS and a month later, a 20K Venture. Since receiving these, my initial CL's with new lenders have gone up. Chase just gave me 5500. Slate and 15K CSP.
So go try the Cap One prequal webpage. It's pretty certain you'll be approved if you see anything.

Others are correct about venture.

But really the key to the big limits is having big limits. *but how do you get?. i started the big limit game with amex. i knew after my $3500 starting limit i could ask for 3 times after 61 days. which i did. They raised it to $10.500. After that. all the other lenders tried to match.

I agree with everyone about Capital One. After burning them in my Chapter 13 I now have a QS-5k and Venture 15k. They do forgive, it seens.
