not saying Debt consolidation is right for you - but if it ends up being the choice you make, look into MMI (think it stands for Money Management International) or something like that.

 

My wife had a very positive expereience with them and was able to knock down her debt substantially - and was a much better option than BK and she didn't pay a dime. Pretty much every company except for the Apple credit card was willing to make a huge agreement instantly when MMI contacted them...apple took about 6 months (to probably rack up some interest before agreeing to the origional offer that they were given.

 

She had all paid off before we were married so I have no personal experience with them nor do I work for them, but she has suggested them to others who were way in over their head... again only if you choose to go down that road.
