New accounts penalty. (Mod Cut-Why that would be fraud).

Well, that's an awfully big assumption to make. I'd make that assumption if they asked for a social, but when they refer to it as "adding a buyer" and don't ask for a social, I don't see any reason to assume that.
I don't want to go back and forth too much on this but as I said very few creditors ask for SSNs and by your own admission 3 other creditors had already told you that it would report so.... And as long as you use the card responsibly it's not going to hurt her credit report and may very well help it so I wouldn't get too upset over it.
Correct, they TOLD me.
And yes, it did hurt her credit. That's the issue. It was a toy limit card with about 75% usage (when they reported it mid cycle) that caused a 24 point drop (and before anyone starts, yes that was the only change to her report, there was no other change.) that's the issue.
I'm sorry but you should have known that it would report. This issue is on you not Comenity.
I should have known that something would report how? That's my issue. Nowhere did it say. So how does that make it on me? Because I should be a **bleep**ing mind reader? C'mon.
You can take your holier than though attitude and have fun with it, but the fact of the matter is, as someone who has to make sure that every customer knows everything that happens with every account that walks in here, just saying that "I should have known" isn't an argument that holds water.
I've asked the mods to delete this thread. This has just turned into an argument over nothing.
